This past weekend, the Paddle Palace Club transformed into a vibrant battleground of speed, skill, and strategy as table tennis players from across the region gathered for the highly anticipated PPC 2025 Spring Open. The event showcased fierce competition across multiple divisions, from youth categories to seasoned veterans, providing a thrilling experience for players and spectators alike.


Youth Categories Light Up the Stage
The younger players demonstrated incredible talent and determination, setting the tone for an exciting tournament.

In the Under 1200 RR division, Moe Pyae Thar emerged as a standout champion, navigating through a tough field to claim first place. The runner-up spot went to Dong Xu, while Sabrina Taylor secured a strong third place finish.

The Under 1400 RR category saw Abhishek Joshi clinch the top spot, overcoming Abd alwahab Kankouni, who took second, and Kerry Blum, who fought hard for third.

Meanwhile, the Juniors RR event was dominated by Ben Zhang, who secured first place with Marcel Hao and Christopher Hu following closely behind.

The Open Singles RR title was fiercely contested, with Ryan “The Nightmare” proving his mettle as champion, followed by Pavlo Pidoima. Kao Yu-Tang clinched third place in a hard-fought battle.

The U2250 RR also saw Ryan “The Nightmare” at the top, with Ryan Hoarfrost finishing close behind and Nicholas Daescu securing third place.

In the U2000 RR division, Yuwen Li took the championship, with Nate Wilkinson and Simon Engler finishing second and third respectively.

The U1600 RR featured ChunYew Choo as champion, with Jiarui Hu and Burke Walls close on his heels.
