With teams from across the state vying for championship glory, the event showcased the growing strength of high school table tennis in Minnesota.

State Champions: Wayzata High School
Runner-Up: Mounds View High School Mustangs
3rd Place: Eastview High School
Consolation Winner: Eden Prairie High School

Wayzata High School delivered a commanding performance throughout the tournament, earning the title of 2025 Open Division State Champions. Their teamwork and strategic play set them apart as they powered through intense matchups to claim the top spot!

Girls Division

State Champions: Century High School
Runner-Up: Academy of Holy Angels
3rd Place: Lakeville South High School

Century High School emerged victorious in the Girls Division, demonstrating skill and resilience to capture the championship title. Their teamwork and determination were on full display as they navigated the tough competition to secure their well-earned victory.

A Look at the Competition Format

The tournament featured two divisions, the Open Division and the Girls Division, with structured team-based play ensuring a dynamic and engaging competition.

  • Open Division teams consisted of 10-12 players from the same high school, competing in a structured format with singles and doubles matches. Teams initially played in round-robin groups, with top teams advancing to the Championship bracket, while others competed in a Consolation bracket.
  • Girls Division teams were comprised of 2-4 players, following a Davis Cup format with two singles matches, a doubles match, and two additional singles matches. Players had to choose between the Girls Division and Open Division.
  • Matches were best-of-three games in the preliminary rounds and best-of-five games in the Championship and Consolation brackets.
