Fan Zhendong (CHN) beat Brazil’s Hugo Calderano in straight sets in the finals after eliminating teammate Xu Xin in the semi-finals. Fan and Xu beat the Japanese pair of Mizutani and Oshima in the Men’s Doubles Finals. On the women’s side, Liu Shiwen (CHN) beat Wang Manyu in 6 games after dropping the first two. Wang got some revenge pairing up with Chen Ke to earn gold in Women’s Doubles over Chen & Sun of China.
