Fan Zhendong, continues as World #1 after the World Team Championships (Photo: Hussein Sayed) After the World Championships in Sweden, the top three players on both the men and women’s ranking continue to hold their top spots. World Men’s Team champion Fan Zhendong of China went undefeated in Halmstad to stay at #1 while silver medalist German teammates Timo Boll and Dimitrij Ovtcharov swapped slots. China’s Xu “Cloud Walker” Xin held his #4 spot going undefeated at the World Championships as well.

The top 3 spots stayed the same on the women’s side with China and Japan taking Gold and Silver at the World Championships respectfully. China’s Cheng (16509 points) and Zhu (16229 points) kept their held their top spots along with Kasumi Ishikawa of Japan (14905 points).  China’s Wang Manyu (14124 points) moved up to #4 and Japan’s Mima Ito (13505 points) jumped to #5.  Miu Hirano (13418 points) held her #6 spot.
