Vladimir Samsonov is back in the World Top 10 in March – And is still on a roll.
As an encore to his win at the Qatar Open, Vladimir made a deep run at the 2015 German Open in Bremen — Missing the Semifinals in a closely contested loss to World No.4 and reigning world champion Zhang Jike. Samsonov did not fare as well at the Spanish Open this weekend, losing to Shabaev in the Eighths… But it has been a strong run for Samsonov and he is clearly playing among the world’s elite.
